Greetings Gentle
People!
What’s New?
First and foremost, I
want to wish my beloved sister Belen, who is
turning 71 on her birthday on March 14th,
a happy birthday. She’s my webcam buddy in
Manila, with the help of my niece who lives
in Tokyo.
I know…it gets complicated. I hope she’ll
have a good time and get some quality rest
after all the stress we’ve gone through
recently. She and I had been helping our
other sister who was ill for quite sometime
- she finally decided to depart just right
before last Christmas. Maligayang
Kaarawan, Ate Belen!
Another date worth celebrating is our
34th wedding anniversary on March 16th.
My goodness! “Time goes by when you’re having fun”, they
say. I hope John agrees - we’ll see... he could give me
another 30 year ‘under probation’ note.
The Philippine marriage contract is working just fine, I’d
say. There’s a big story about the wedding - rather unusual
and hilarious, but I’ll save it for my biographical book.
Soon…
Oh yes, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
March 17th. It’s time to wear green,
nothing to do with
EPA, mind you. My version is better – to
celebrate the Leprechaun archetype in all of us - the
helpful sprite. Any help I can get from an Earth spirit I’d
take right now for my plants. They must recover immediately
from looking sad. I have not been out to check on them for a
few days as I was nursing a terrible cold.
Speaking of a cold… I watched the
Health Care Summit as I am interested of what the wise guys
in DC could agree upon - haven’t you? I thought it was very
important since it would affect my grandchildren and their
children as well. As I watched and listened to their
exchanges of ideas, I just realized… many of these
politicians are not so bright after all, I thought. The
summit was more like, “how do I look on the TV screen?” In
my own opinion, these people we have elected are more
concerned of their re-election, rather than the nation’s
immediate needs. Why didn’t they have a Job Summit instead?
I wonder how many more jobs will be lost now that they have
cancelled the NASA Space Shuttle program. I’d say,
“Drill, baby drill!” before our own
children starve to death, just for the
sake of being savvy
about
environmental issues. Oh well, simple-minded
people like myself are not supposed to ask
such questions. A college professor I had
once, a former California senator and a
member of the John Birch Society – taught
his students how to think for themselves.

Happy New Moon Everyone!
“My cup is runneth over”, this is what we are being reminded about with this new moon. As the last of the twelve signs of the zodiac, the New Moon in Pisces urges us all to move away from the illusions of the past, empty the cup of misconceptions and misunderstandings, the shame and the blame, and all the shadows of fear and dependency. Now is the time to prepare to embrace the potentials of the new cycle, to listen to our instincts, examine our true beliefs as we push forth to launch our new vision, our dreams of the future.
Right around this time, Uranus and Mercury, the planets of the intellect and unconventional ideas join with the Sun and Moon resulting in plenty of ideas to mull over. This unity of the said planets indicates a breakthrough of a major objective. But the Moon (the masses) opposes Saturn (the authority). Saturn is in a very difficult challenge from Pluto (the transformer) who decides the finalization process. In other words, projects may encounter resistance but are worth further study later.
For many of us, the current events are quite unsettling. Some people are unable to process or keep up the speed with the myriad of surprises and ideas. Patience is hard to come by. A simple comment can provoke an altercation with ‘humor challenged”
individuals, so be mindful. Let’s choose gentler words when attempting to communicate with these people.
The Sabian Symbol of this New Moon in Pisces 26 degrees indicates, “Watching the very thin Moon appearing at sunset, different people realize that the time has come to go ahead with their different projects.” Does this mean that we may move forward with our plans regardless of differences of ideas??
Have a Blessed New Moon
in Pisces!

BLESSED
SOLAR
RETURN
PISCES! !
February 18th ~ March 19th, 2010
by Marcelina
Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune.
Jupiter, the Greater Benefic planet and Neptune, the planet
which dissolves matter, give the Piscean the gift of
sensitivity and great compassion to their fellow human beings.
Its keyword is “I Believe”. But, like anything else in life,
there’s always a polarity in all aspects of it.
You, Pisces friend, have gone through the
experiences of the eleven signs ahead of you. Living in a
physical world is such a challenge that you sometimes feel the
need to retreat, to be alone in your own world - a dream world.
Your sensitivity and compassionate nature can be your best
asset, yet it can also be your downfall.
Besides the symbol of the two fish tied
together, there are also the two connected crescent moons that
is a Pisces symbol. Now, this is interesting because it
represents the waxing and the waning moons. What does this mean?
That you, my Pisces friend, were born with a gift of the Maiden,
the dancer of life, and, the wisdom of the Wise Woman, the
keeper of the mystery of life. Another meaning of the symbol;
one fish swims downstream representing the personality, while
the other fish swims upstream, representing the soul. Meaning,
it’s either the soul captures the personality, or vice versa.
The Piscean personality can sometimes get bogged down by living
in the mundane world. Some of them tend to escape through the
use of alcohol or other unhealthy substances. The fish lives
comfortably in water or deep emotion to commune with divinity,
or escape from it. This is when the choice as to whether “Serve
or Suffer” has to be made.
Have a Blessed Birthday, Pisces
Friend!
And … Keep Sharing the Light!

will be presented. Then,
you must be sharp enough to discern it, quick enough to
capture it, and determined enough to make something out of
it. If you let it pass, you will be filled with regrets.
Just like a cat watching a bird, its prospective meal - it
waits patiently,
silently and when that opportune time comes its way, the cat
pounces on its prey with swift reflex. The
goal is successful; the sweet reward is consumed.
As you enjoy the reward, whatever you do must leave no
messes. In other words, no left-over consequences,
traceless, nothing that will haunt you later. This would be
one of the ways to avoid creating more bad situations.

February
27th, 2010
We start the month of March with a Full
Moon in Virgo, calling us to embody our ideals, through service
and kindness. At 10 degrees Virgo, the Sabian symbol indicates “
Two heads looking out and beyond the Shadows.”
As last month, the Virgo Moon opens the
doorway to the month of March, but this is quite different from
the moon’s entry into the month of February. The usual focused
and the analytical side of Virgo is touched by the spirit of
Mercury as it moves into Pisces on March 1st. Communication
becomes blurry, confusing and can even be poetic. That’s not so
bad, huh!?…
so long as we keep our head above
ground - a reminder that we’re still living on earth, we have a
mortgage or rent to pay, children to feed. Mercury stays in
Pisces until March 17.
Venus enters Aries on March 7, just three
days before Mars (in Leo) goes forward after three months of
reversal motion. It is possible to witness some bold and
competitive expressions when it comes to our romantic life. The
warrior and conqueror spirit in many of us will be apparent.
Ardent love, new friendship, new endeavors will spring forth.
Mars moving direct motion from March 10
until June 7, 2010, can make some of us quite edgy, impulsive
and overbearing. At zero degree mark as it moves forward, Mars
is poised to bring out swift actions of remarkable bravery and
showmanship. Between March 12 – 17, Mercury and Uranus will be
in perfect trine. This aspect between these two planets can
trigger shocking News that may be overly expanded by the media.
Non-conformists may find themselves becoming the center of the
events.
March 15th, watch for the Lunar
Insight, New Moon.
Between March 14-19, Mercury and Mars will
be in perfect trine in fire signs – these days can be very
stimulating and favorable time for activities with our family
and children. Encouraging and positive information we receive at
this time will be uplifting - and that should inspire us to take
initiative action on one of our endeavors.
Till next month….
