MARCELINA'S
TIDBITS

for July, 2010
What’s New?
Happy 4th of July, everyone!
John and I are now seeing many houses here
in our area displaying the American Flag.
It’s comforting to see the flag flying
freely in the mountain breeze.
Living in “God’s kuntry” as a dear friend calls it,
is quite an adjustment. My celebration of Summer
Solstice was immediately followed the next day by my
online search for an electric blanket. Yup, still
kinda cool in the evenings here.
We are still organizing the garage, having two steel
cabinets situated to store at least a three-months
food supply of canned goods, kitty treats, bags of
rice,
etc. A load of burning wood will be delivered in a
couple months, I’ve been told. Wow! Good thing John
grew up in Missouri - he knows all these stuff.
Something I should look forward to? hmmm…
Aside from those preparations for winter, some other
interesting things have happened! A week or so ago,
early in the morning while in the back deck minding
my plants, I was startled by the loud noise of so
many Blue Jays that landed on the Pine tree next to
our house. I wondered what they’re so loud about.
When I looked down I saw a BIG kitty before me,
about six feet away from me. He had a charming face,
I thought, at least twice bigger and longer than
Missy or Snowy. He looked at me, I stared at him
then he went on by. I told John about it, he Googled
some pictures and I pointed to him what it looked
like - it was a cougar cub! John had me promised NOT
to pet the big stray kitty. Agreed!
Here is another exciting one…
Just three days ago, I left the master bedroom’s
screen door open for, uh… maybe five minutes, at the
most, just to move a plant inside from outside the
door. Lo and behold, guess what came in to check us
out – a handsome Bat! This was around noontime - was
he looking for a place to sleep in?? We never
know... vampires suppose to know that, but not
metaphysicians as far as I know. Mr. Batty parked
himself on the highest part of the open beam
ceiling. John and I immediately started to try our
pitching skills using Missy and Snowy’s toy balls to
throw at him before he starts snoring. Pitching?
ha.. ha… Not!! Armed with my personal broom thinking
he’d recognize me as an ally,
I tried to reach him with it, no dice. John, with
his commanding voice and with a finger pointing
towards the open door, he talked to Mr. Batty who
finally left, with a chuckle I thought. So there, it
is, folks… “this is the mountain”, as the residents
here would say. Another day, another critter...

FULL
MOON
IN
AQUARIUS
3
DEGREES

Happy Full Moon Everyone!
All rise get ready… go!! Speeding up, heading to where no man has ever gone
before, we humans are called to apply wisdom as the current journey
accelerates.
The face-off between the Sun in Leo, and the Moon in
Aquarius urges us to fine-tune our own individuality while we participate
collectively for the betterment of humanity. Articulate Mercury is
disenchanted with Neptune’s visionary expression, putting many believers to
defend their own faith.
I’d say…
there’s
nothing to defend, spirituality is.
Truth and optimism will be provided by a supportive aspect between the
Sun in Leo and Jupiter in Aries, keeping our minds sharp and clear on
what we want in life and to find answer to one of the most important
question in life…“Why was I born?”
With Saturn – Uranus at zero degree of their final opposition, humanity
may experience unexpected, explosive or even bizarre occurrences in the
following few days. This may also include “nailing down a solid
foundation for an inventive escapade” (Jeff Jawer, TMA writer, lecturer)
Once again, it is a reminder that parts of life are being shattered and
ended, while some radical entrepreneurial ideology is on the rise.
The Sabian Symbols of 3 degrees in Aquarius describes “A deserter from
the Navy.”
Keynote: The individual’s self-realization through a crucial repudiation
of a collective status which has become unbearable. (Astrological
Mandala, Rudhyar) This implies to think for ourselves and disengage from
any radical ideology not of our own truth.
Have a Blessed Full Moon in Aquarius!

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY
LEO
FRIENDS!
July 22nd to
August 22nd, 2010
by
Marcelina
You, my dear Leo friend, are one of the most self-assured individual in the zodiac. As a sign of the high summer, Leo is linked with the sun, which gives you a “hot nature”. Your fiery desire and focused will to draw attention, give you the confidence to ROAR your kingly power without reservation. An enormous love of life, frolic and play, amusements, family and children are among the activities and enjoyment that affirm your life existence – something the rest of us need to learn from you. Abundantly favored by the Sun God, you are indeed the chosen as monarch of all the sun signs.
Depicted in the tarot card Strength, corresponding
to Leo, is a maiden, gently attempting to pry open
the jaws of a ferocious beast, the Lion, king of the
jungle. Noticeably above the maiden’s head is a
figure 8 showing sideways, a symbol of eternity and
inner harmony. An ancient astrological aphorism
says, “Leo rules by the divine right and Capricorn
by delegated authority”. It is through your gentle
approach, refined manner and focused determination,
that you, my dear Leo friend, are able to persuade
even the most difficult and unapproachable human on
earth. There’s only one stumbling block...
As a fixed fire sign, being loved by others is your
mantra in this life. Some of you, dear Leo friends
expect your loved ones to be subservient to your
rules – a common problem in reality, in any
relationship and in work departments. As a “monarch”
of all signs, you believe yourself to be the
authority at all times and delegating to others may
be one of your biggest challenges until you realize
that delegating is a form of sharing – one area you
are so capable and willing to do.
For the remainder of 2010, you my dear Leo will
finally get a break from all those crazy
expenditures. Saturn, the planet of restriction and
limitation has finally moved out (July 21st) of
Virgo, your house of finances. This said planet has
also given you a gift of patience and discipline.
Honor these virtues, as they will lead you to great
rewards, soon!
Have a Blessed Birthday!
Suggestion:
Candles: Yellow or Gold, unscented
Oils: Sun Oil or Bay Laurel Oil
Prayer:
By the Mighty Power of the Sun God, I __________ ask
for guidance that leads me towards joy and
fulfillment. Let me see in others the goodness and
kindness I strive to attain within myself, the love
for family, the children and the whole of humanity.
As I realize now, prosperity and fortune has always
been in me. And, so shall it be! Amen.

Food for Thought
Positioning:
Life revolves and life continues with or without our
consent. It will pass by leaving us hopelessly inert due to
our complacency, that’s why we must engage life and maintain
pace.

The compassionate Moon in
Pisces guides us to a world
of dreams during the month
of July. As we all know,
dreams can only manifest in
a real world when action
accompanies the dream.
July 5th, Uranus
(in Aries) will turn
retrograde, reminding us
that all desires for
independence and
revolutionary acts need to
be curtailed, methodical
preparations are necessary.
Haste and bold actions are
not one of the same. This
planet remains retrograde
until December 5th.
The message is to learn to
cope with big and radical
changes, with all the
uncertainties, and to
hopefully accept ourselves
where we are in life now -
so a new life or lifestyle
can begin. Failures and
successes are just part of
the journey.
July 4th,
Independence Day! People are
eager to celebrate. With the
Moon in Aries squares the
Sun on that day, watch those
individuals who are a bit
pushy or are egomaniacs.
Let’s give way to the
infantile attitude – just a
bit.
Forgiveness is
commendable.
July 10 – August 6, Venus
will travel through the sign
of Virgo where the planet of
love is in “the fall” or the
least favored by Venus. Love
and friendship will be
reserved, prudent and
analyzed. Some may feel
disappointed or be grudging
over love matters. I’d say,
do not throw the baby out
with the bath water, yet.
July 11th, New
Moon in Cancer, a total
eclipse. (Watch for Lunar
Insight article)
Mars currently in Virgo
until July 29th,
the talk of war continues to
be critical and nitpicking
to perfection is the goal.
Others want to impose on
care and thoughtfulness on
war strategies… is it
possible?
Jupiter (in Aries) turns
retrograde July 23- November
18. Big corporations,
businesses, and/or anything
that involves large funds
need to pay careful
attention on investments. It
may be wise to be cautious
and be practical around this
period.
Saturn returns to Libra,
July 21 – October 5, 2012
(Saturn stays in one sign
approx. 2.5 to 3 years).
Fairness and justice on the
application of the law are
required. The biggest
challenge during Saturn’s
transit in Libra is to
reconcile our differences
with others. We are also
called to apply wisdom on
the benefits of comparison
and competition. Saturn’s
first entry into Libra was
in October 2009.
Till next month…

Light!

Food for Thought
last step you have gained a certain territory,
then
make sure that
you capitalize on it. Don’t relinquish your old position
unless you’re sure you have something equal or better in
your grasp. But how do we develop for the timing process?
Intuition, yes, indeed!
There comes a time in our life that we come to our limits,
and our tolerance for a situation ends. When that happens,
change without the interference of concepts, guilt,
hesitancy or timidity. Just do it! Those are the points when
our entire lives pivot and we better take advantage of them.
