Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

Happy Full Moon in Cancer Everyone!
This is
our first full moon of 2009 and this happens to be one of the
Super-Moons. The nurturing part of us will come out, wanting to cook
those delicious calorie-racking foods and serve them nice and hot. The
hunger for emotional reassurance may be translated into food intake to
mollify our need to be touched, cuddled or to get a meaningful hug.
Overeating may be the result, be careful.
While there’s a tug of war between the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in
Cancer, some of us are feeling the crunch between our societal and family
responsibilities. With Mercury going in retrograde |
for the next three weeks, fears and insecurities related to our living
environment will prominently come up. Most of us will feel haunted by
our actions of the past. I’d say, with other planetary aspects, the way
to deal with some of these issues is to brainstorm with others, family
members or colleagues, and practice to “think differently”.
