Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

Happy Full Moon in Cancer Everyone!
Emotional and material security will be the highlight of this
security-conscious Full Moon in Cancer. With the security
awareness coming alive we are challenged to balance our career
goals and personal ambitions. The time is here to clearly
identify what is ideal and real; and so as to recognize our
inner needs and our external duties. Am I consciously present
when my family needs me? What must I do to make them feel more
secure? Or, am I demanding rewards and recognition from work
when it is untimely to do so or to be expected?

Mercury’s recent move to Capricorn on January 7th, where it
will remain till the 27th, will connect closely to the outer
planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto) in different levels
and degrees, and remind all of us that pragmatic communication will be
the key to keeping things in order whether it is related to work or home
life. During this same period Mercury will tend to bring drama into the
events of our lives while it trines expansive Jupiter. Many of us will
feel urged to: reformulate goals, reinvent ourselves if necessary, keep
open-mind, and to find the wisdom necessary to bring stability to our
present affairs.
The dynamic of this contrast between career-oriented Sun in Capricorn
and cautious Moon in Cancer, is punctuated by rebellious Uranus’
unpredictability, which can easily result in a break down
communications. A couple days after the full moon, extravagant Jupiter
is in a tensed relationship with free-spirited Uranus… watch your
expenditures for now.
On Sabian Symbols…Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar….
19 degrees Cancer indicates, “A priest performing a ceremony. Keynote:
The ritualization of productive interpersonal relationships.”
19 degrees Capricorn indicates, “A five year old child carrying a bag
filled with groceries. Keynote: Rising to the occasion when asked to
assume social responsibilities ahead of one’s normal development.”
My thoughts…
19 degrees Cancer + 9 degrees Capricorn represents a requirement to
nurture our emotions, our inner feelings, and to practice it, side by
side with our public duties and responsibilities.
Have a Blessed Full Moon!
And, Keep Sharing the Light!
