Lunar Insight One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior. In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project. When the moon is in Cancer and the Sun is in Capricorn, the feeling is somewhat like you’re in between two domineering parents who cannot agree how to discipline a child. The result is frustrating. Some of us become emotionally needy and afraid to offend others, while some will be totally inconsiderate and selfish. The mood swings will keep it worth watching, folks. What makes this full moon even more interesting are the other planets playing their own agenda, some are inspiring, but a few are such a drag. Let’s start with Saturn, now in retrograde (in Virgo) stumping on our holiday cheer and reminding us that the less expense, the less stress. On the other hand, the recent Jupiter and Pluto conjunction were driven to distribute wealth. Now, we have the full moon in Cancer, fired up with the action oriented Mars, being contradicted by chatty Mercury, I can imagine why we’re all emotionally dysfunctional. Unkind words are rampant. Here’s my suggestion… bake a lot cookies to give away to your friends and neighbors, and brownies for loved ones. It’s less expensive, nurturing (Moon in Cancer), and while there’s a feeling of success (Sun in Capricorn) coming to you, buy yourself one Lotto ticket.
