by Marcelina One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior. In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project. June 21, 9:14 pm, PST The Sun has moved into Cancer making this full moon in Capricorn rather serious, and making us determined to achieve greater goals that will bring material rewards in the future. We are being called to discern between success and blind ambition. It is time for us to put aside all false yearnings and spend some time putting structure in our long-term goals. June 20th was a time to celebrate Summer Solstice, the old tradition of thanking the Sun God for Life and Light which sustains all living creatures. Let's use this opportunity now to nurture our family, to call your mom and dad, to express those fussy thoughts of being loved, or… just bake lots of cookies to feed the whole neighborhood. Make them round and golden, to signify your appreciation of the never-ending, unconditional love of the Sun God to all of us. Light a gold candle anointed with Sun oil as your gratitude for this magical day and you’ll be delighted you did. |
