Lunar Insight

One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior.

In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project.

So, here we go…

Full Moon in Scorpio, 9 Degrees

April 28th, 2010, 5:20 am, PDT

by Marcelina

Happy Full Moon, Everyone!

The natural calm disposition of the Sun in Taurus is opposed by the complexity of the Moon in Scorpio. Many folks are now feeling the intensity of this Full Moon as Mars, (ruler of Scorpio) a warring planet, has also made its provocative presence in this already difficult configuration, creating a tremendous stress in two areas of most people’s lives: love and money. This Full Moon in Scorpio is one of those  cases  that  will  bring  out  our  deepest  desires and deepest fears. The

feeling of losing something of value may now need to be confronted, and released. Know however, that although the releasing process may be painful, the outcome shall give way for a better future.

As mentioned in the Star Watch, we have Mercury Retrograde that started April 17th and will remain until May 11. While it retrogrades in the sign of Taurus, the sign representing our finances, values, resources and our priorities, fuzzy communication related to these areas may result in a dispute over “who should get what and how much?” That also includes past abuses of other people’s money (credit cards, taxes?) or, what we owe them and what’s owed to us. One thing we are encouraged to do to negate the fear of lack that accompanies this planetary confusion is to gather our loyal alliances and plan something expansive. Make it magical and fun while generous Jupiter in Pisces provides inspiration and optimism.

For those who are inclined to work in the garden, this is an excellent time to transplant - get rid of dead twigs and rotting roots to give more room for the plants to grow, a real act of transformation.

The Sabian Symbols for 9 degrees Scorpio indicates, “A dentist at work” which reminds us to look back to the time when we were 7 years of age, when our baby teeth started being replaced by permanent teeth.  A visit to a dentist is not an exciting day for most of us.

Have a Blessed Full Moon in Scorpio!

And, Keep Sharing the Light

Remember to include in all of your  work the guiding concept of "And It Harm None!"

It is our belief that the value and use of the products that we carry in our store lies in their ability to enhance the practitioner's own energies and powers. We therefore cannot predict their effectiveness for others, or make any claims for their ability to bring about desired events.  We can only state that we have found them to be of value in our own work.
