One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project.
So, here we go…
Full Moon in Virgo
February 20th, 2008 7:30 pm, PST
Most astrologers believe that eclipses, especially the lunar ones, can be quite emotionally disturbing. The intensity of the full moon can easily be tripled in its strength when there’s a Lunar Eclipse.
During this Virgo Lunar Eclipse, the shadow side of its’ opposing sign, Pisces, will make most of us face our most hidden, perhaps undesirable, habits or unhealthy lifestyles. Some of us, who are unprepared to admit that we have these issues in life, may experience heavy depression or a
sense of helplessness, which hopefully, will motivate us to get out of the victimhood syndrome. The shadow side of Virgo stimulates feelings of shame, being unworthy and self-critical. But folks… it does not have to be this grim! As a somewhat non-traditional astrologer, I like the idea of using “what else can I find” interpretations. By looking deeper, I find that there’s always a choice, there’s always a way out!
To negate the darker side of the energy, we can focus our thoughts towards organizing or cleaning out (and I mean physically, visualization will not work on this one) offices, study rooms, refrigerators, pantries or any place that stores pens and papers, or alcoholic beverages. And… if you get carried away and toss out some of the bottles of alcohol, it is ok too. Just say Oops!! It slipped off my fingers! My favorite thing to do around this time is to rake out dead leaves in my garden and pick some up new herb seeds and flowering plants – a perfect Virgoan work. You may also want to schedule a visit to the Vet for your furry friends. Watch them closely between now and right around the eclipse.
Have a Safe and Blessed Virgo Full Moon!
