Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

Happy New Moon in Cancer!
We have two New Moons in Cancer this year. The first one was in June
22nd, at the very beginning of the Sun’s move into the Cancer sign and
July 21st, happens to be at the tail end of Cancer. Having said that,
this is like re-booting our emotional attachments to our own
“programming” pertaining to what we think is our foundation. News
concerning a family member may need an immediate attention. During a
Solar Eclipse, emotional high tides will be evident.

The moon in Cancer, a cardinal water sign, influences depression and
co-dependency as well as the abuse of alcohol and illegal substances.
During this New Moon in Cancer, it is time to face these issues
squarely, or to put it lightly… IT’S TIME TO OPEN OUR EYES! By the way,
the country’s sun sign is Cancer, ruled by the Moon. Pluto, the planet
of ending and transformation is currently transiting the country’s
opposing sign, Capricorn. This New Moon is only one degree from the
Moon’s South Node, an indication of something karmic is about to occur…
like what? Is it possible that the country’s place in the world will be
altered in the next few months? Just a thought…
A few of us may be tempted to manipulate others and loved ones, or,
perhaps experience similar from loved ones. Our challenge is to get
clear where we stand. While some of us are turning inward for emotional
healing, others are focusing on the need for domestic comforts that
include financial security. An assertive approach to overcome any
obstacles will pay off. This would also be a perfect time to give our
home an uplifting look, new paint maybe, or just cleaning or re-dressing
the windows, etc.
To hold a supportive and nurturing circle will be ideal now to express
the gentler side of life, and to be allowed to show affection. The focus
is to bring out new heartwarming desires and enlightening experiences.
