Lunar Insight One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior. In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project. Leo’s primary concern with the self will be more evident during the time when both the moon and the sun are conjunct. What do I mean by this? Leo affirms Love, Spirit, Truth - and it can only come from the heart. So, what is our heart telling us to do? A few of us may ask where to find the answer and in which direction it may be found. We all know the answer… it’s never out there! So, this new moon urges us to find answers for how we define love, spirit, and truth. It is time to affirm what makes us happy, what gives us joy, and what constitutes personal fulfillment. Since love and romance are important aspects of Leo’s signature, I must remind you that there’s a reality check needed in this department. Venus, the planet of Love and Saturn, the Disciplinarian will be meeting the following day after the new moon, pointing out issues to examine and prioritize. What do I have? Do I appreciate what I have? Am I giving enough (love or lust) or am I expecting too much? Normally, the New Moon in Leo is about frolic and fun times; this one has a more serious mood and carries a more discreet expression. My suggestion is not to let it get it in the way of having fun.
