Lunar Insight One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior. In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project. I like to watch the guy with the striped shirt and a ball cap who gets to yell “Ready, Get set, GO!!” And, all the competitive ones set off. Yes, folks, this New Moon in Aries is giving us the thumbs up to take action on those ideas that will ‘make you feel brand new’ once again. It takes courage, a competitive spirit and almost a warrior-like approach to make a breakthrough on those brilliant ideas and goals. But, we also know that goals without action will remain just that –goals and ideas. Now is the time. Just watch our temperaments so as to not appear confrontational in your actions. A new moon in Aries signifies new beginnings, and about selfhood – meaning what is important to me now. Venus the planet of love and beauty (read this month’s Star Watch) just joined in with the sun and the moon – I’d say, a new love/lust is in the horizon for those who are looking for this expression. For those already attached individuals, a ‘make over’ like a new hair cut, buying some youthful looking outfit, or a new exercise routine, may be sufficient to provide for a feeling of having done something for the self. You may also decide to learn something new such as astrology☺. You may also decide to learn more about the answers to those questions that are associated with the important puzzles attached to your life, such as “Who Am I? ” and “What Is My Purpose in Life?”. You see… Pluto, the sub-ruler planet of Aries is retrograding from April 2nd to September 8th. This dark planet has a tendency to bring about the type of unpleasant events that can take a generation to recover from, but can also be an ally in making us take steps to make great changes in our life.
