Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

New Moon in Virgo

Happy New Moon Everyone! This New Moon in Virgo encourages us
to be meticulous in all our dealings in the matters of work and
health. It is time to get down to basics and apply common sense to
our daily routine. This may include keeping track of daily
supplements intake, record keeping of bills, paid or unpaid, and
finally our daily affirmation of gratitude.

Due to the current retrograde motion of
Mercury, Virgo’s ruling planet, information on
healthcare concerns may need to be scrutinized. A new
form of skepticism and critical analysis towards
budgets, and the organization of accounting system will
be evident. On September 11th, Pluto went
direct after five months in reversal movement. Its
message was to NOT take life and livelihood for granted
(?). Pluto, the planet of fear, also renewal, at zero
degree Capricorn, (government, big corporations, the
authorities) is currently traveling opposite
direction to the United States’ sun sign, Cancer
(the masses).
Mars, the planet of courage and
aggressiveness is enraged and emotionally charged to defend "We the People".
A third exact Saturn – Uranus opposition, now
reaching its peak is poised to bring acute awareness
for some unexpected, perhaps disturbing, rebellious
activities that threaten the old form or foundation.
This is of the same pattern to the aspect of
November 4th, 2008 presidential election.
Here are other dates worth noting down: November 4,
2008; February 5, 2009; September 15, 2009; April
26, 2010; and July 26, 2010 for future references.
For many of us, this New Moon in Virgo is an
excellent time to overhaul, especially in relation
to health matters and monetary responsibilities. Now
is a good time to resolve to plan a clear and
methodical approach to healing our body, mind and
spirit. Yes, it is time to purge unhealthy habits
and/or defeating thought patterns and take action to
start up a new healthy lifestyle discipline.
