©1997 Let me understand each petal
in the divine flower above
let me be anchored to the roots
of this higher love let the compassion of Kuan-Yin
to my soul penetrate
let the bliss of sacred Shiva
lead me to a higher state let the profound peace of Buddha
fully embrace my mind
let Jesus illuminate my being
with the love he felt for all mankind let me understand each petal
by its every name
for each petal may be different
but the flower is the same.
