The first three weeks will cover information related to Wiccan traditions and practices. The students will also receive instructions on their assigned tasks for the fourth class when we will all take part in one of the most important Wiccan celebrations, Samhain. Samhain is popularly known outside of the Wiccan Community as Halloween, or All Hollows, or the Feast of the Dead. This celebration is to honor the cycle of Life and Rebirth, or the ending and the beginning of life and will be held during the fourth week's class. (A potluck will be held after the ceremony). Each class is two-hours, and will cover subjects on: Magic and Ethics, Creating A Sacred Circle, Candle Prayer Work, Ceremonies and Celebration. Active student participation will be encouraged. (Visit "The World of Iday, Feast of the Dead" to read about the Celebration of the Feast of the Dead in the Philippines of Marcelina's youth) This class requires a 4 weeks commitment, and is limited to those of eighteen years of age or older.
